Colorado Veterans Service Foundation grants SUMMARY

CVSF Grants Support Colorado Veterans

During 2024, the CVSF issued grants totaling nearly $5.000 in support of Colorado veterans. During 2025, the CVSF tripled that amount and issued grants totaling nearly $15,000 in support of Colorado veterans. Thanks to the growing support from donors, the CVSF has expanded its grant support for Colorado veterans. The CVSF sincerely thanks those individuals and organizations that have and continue to support our foundation.

NOTE: 100% of all donations received by the CVSF are used to support Colorado veterans. The Executive Director and the Board of Directors absorb all expenses incurred by the foundation. Most local and national non-profit foundations do not come close to meeting our 100% expense ratio.

The CVSF has issued grants to numerous Colorado veterans' service organizations that have assisted homeless veterans with food, clothing, transportation assistance, and temporary housing. Our grants have assisted veterans in receiving their entitled healthcare and other benefits and enabled the provision of durable medical equipment to veterans or family members who were not eligible for it through the VA healthcare network. CVSF grants have helped veterans remain in their homes by assisting with utility payments and maintenance costs.

The CVSF has issued grants to the Maring Corps Memorial Foundation in Golden, CO, to assist in repairing damage caused by vandalism in 2024 and to cover ongoing maintenance and operational costs. The CVSF has issued grants to All Veterans Honor Guard teams to support the rising costs of maintaining those teams to help ensure they continue to provide the "Final Honors" to veterans when they are laid to rest at Fort Logan National Cemetery.

The CVSF proudly states that some grants issued have assisted patients at the Rocky Mountain Regional Veterans Medical Center by providing clothing, personal items, and Chit books enabling patients to purchase personal items at the hospital Patriots Store. Some grants also supported Colorado State Living Centers by providing cash or merchandise to the centers, or clothing and personal items to residents.

While a host of national and state veterans' programs assist America's veterans, many of their needs remain unmet by these programs. Accordingly, organizations like the CVSF can satisfy veterans' needs and "fill the void" that other programs do not fulfill. The foundation continually reaches out to the Colorado veterans' community to expand our ability to support the unmet needs of Colorado's veterans.
